Ciao Amici! Hello Friends! I recently had the grand pleasure of interviewing and getting to know Angela Paolantonio, memoir author of The Ghosts of Italy.
Angela’s parents emigrated from Italy to Brooklyn, NY, where she was born. Her family moved to Long Island, and Angela moved to Los Angeles where she spent 20 years of her adult life as a photographer and visual artist. Call it magic, serendipity, or maybe a dispatch from a past life that led Angela to listen to and act on her inner voice. Now she lives, works and loves in Southern Italy in the village of Calitri, in her grandmother’s childhood home. She is brave, bold and I found her book inspirational and educational. I feel as if I made a new friend, even though we are six thousand miles away. I will visit Angela during my upcoming trip to Southern Italy. I will keep you posted!
